Join us on the first Thursday of December for an introduction to editing OpenStreetMap (OSM) data online using the iD editor.
Beej will be giving a presentation about how to add points, ways, and areas, and how to tag the data for appropriate map rendering. Also, we'll discuss cleaning up existing data, and uploading GPS tracks.
Bring a laptop, and you can edit the map live during the demo. Bring a 3-button mouse if you have one; it makes editing 3.26 zillion times easier.
Time permitting, we could get into more advanced features, or do a quick demo of JOSM, the offline Java-based OSM editor.
Join us for this, and, of course, general map discussion, hacking, and fun. Hope to see you there!
