Every year there is an International celebration of GIS on the Wednesday of Geography Awareness Week. GIS Day is a way to celebrate the work that we do, help others learn more about Geography & GIS, and in Portland it is a way to bring the whole GIS community together for one night. This year will the Portland’s 8th annual GIS Day celebration, organized by a group of volunteers and sponsored by local businesses and organizations, including ORURISA. Pizza, salad, and beverages will be provided.
