We'd like to invite you to a celebration of GIS Day at the Lucky Lab (915 SE Hawthorne Boulevard) on Nov. 14th from 6pm to 9:30pm. Here's our rough agenda:
6:00pm - Begin, eat appetizers, have a beer 6:30pm - Lightning introductions 6:45pm - Molly Vogt, GIS Program Supervisor at Metro, will give a presentation on the theme "Discovering the World through GIS" 7:15 - Christina Friedle will lead a group discussion on GIS Careers 7:45pm - 9:30pm - Socializing and geo-trivia, with prizes provided by the Oregon Geographic Alliance
Thanks to the generous support of PCC, OR-URISA, and the PSU ASPRS Student Chapter, we'll be providing lots of heavy appetizers and some beer! We've rented out the party room, which has room for plenty of geo-geeks, and we can spill out into the main area as needed. All people with an interest in GIS are more than welcome!
This event has been organized by OR-URISA Young Professionals with help from Christina Friedle!
Thanks, everyone, and hope to see you there!
