COGIS Meeting: GIS and Infrastructure Providers
This meeting will be in two parts:
2.00 - 3.30pm - Three presentations.
Sosannah McHugh from Bend Broadband will talk about how they use GIS in their day to day operations. Afterwards another BBB representative will give a brief overview of their Bend data center.
Tiffany Turo from Central Electric COOP will talk about their use of GIS.
3.45 - 4.45pm - Tour of the Bend Broadband data center
We will car pool from the County building to the data center (10 minutes away). Parking is limited so it would be best to use as few vehicles as possible.
For the tour you must pre-register for the COGIS event ahead of time, as a full list of tour participants has to be received by the secure facility one day prior to the tour. You must also bring ID such as a driver's license or else you will not be admitted into the data center.
We will be inside and outside at the facility so please dress accordingly. This tour will give an overview of the data center but there will be specialists on hand if you have detailed questions or are interested in their data or application storage services.
