HotApps is a 1-day showcase of new and emerging Geo-enabled tools, apps, and hacks.  Organized by ORURISA, this year’s event will take place on Friday, February 8 in Bend.  Talented students and professionals from around the region will show what they’ve built and where they are taking their current projects, with the goal of coming together to learn from each other and push the envelope even farther.

3:30  Scavenger Hunt - Complete the quick Geo-enabled scavenger hunt in downtown Bend to find our post-event networking social.

9:30 am  Saturday - Snowshoeing at Swampy Lakes Sno-Park!  Bundle up and meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Mt Bachelor Park & Ride (1100 SW Simpson Ave) to carpool.  Sno-park permits and snowshoe rentals available at Mountain Supply.

Standard symposium registration is $25.  A discounted registration for students is available for $10.  Coffee and lunch will be provided.

Fill out this short form to submit a proposal for a presentation and share your insight into what’s happening in the world of Geo. Presentations should:

  • Demonstrate a GIS app, tool or technical hack
  • Expand or deepen knowledge about geo-enabled apps and tool development
  • Focus on lessons learned and tips that others can take home
  • Be no more than 20 minutes long and tightly focused on a key concept
